Organisiert wurde das Treffen vom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camaeleon.org\/de\/2023\/10\/01\/german-american-institutes-strengthening-relations-across-the-atlantic\/\">Deutsch-Amerikanischen Institut Saarbr\u00fccken<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Die Themenbereiche waren sehr divers: Von &#8222;Culture Shocks&#8220; in Deutschland, vor allem beim Stra\u00dfe-\u00dcberqueren, wenn die Ampel rot ist, bis hin zur Berufswahl. Es wurde der Unterschied zwischen Konsulaten und Botschaften erkl\u00e4rt und Stereotypen widerlegt. Auch die Lebensl\u00e4ufe der beiden Diplomatinnen wurden sehr genau nachgezeichnet: So reichten die Arbeitsorte der beiden von Spanien und Deutschland bis hin nach Japan, Guatemala und Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Auf die Frage, was sie an Deutschland besonders m\u00f6gen, fiel beiden sofort die Freundlichkeit und Ordentlichkeit ein.<\/p>\n<p>Was den beiden allerdings mit am wichtigsten war, ist das Treffen der Berufswahl. Man solle sich nicht davor scheuen, im Leben etwas zu wagen. Selbst wenn man Entscheidungen trifft, welche sich sp\u00e4ter als &#8222;falsch&#8220; herausstellten, k\u00f6nne man immer noch etwas Neues versuchen: Frau Franco selbst war vor ihrer Karriere als Diplomatin Spanisch- und Deutschlehrerin.
